I am excited to gain hands-on public health research experience especially when my work can directly benefit local communities. This is also an excellent opportunity to collaborate with public health researchers and learn more about Wisconsin’s public health systems.

Laura Koch began her Translating Evidence to Practice in Public Health (TEP-PH) Internship with the Wisconsin Public Health Research Network in May of 2022 excited to learn more about translational research. She is looking forward to supporting Susan Zahner, DrPH, RN, FNAP, FAAN with the Wisconsin Registered Nurse Survey Workgroup and conducting subset analysis work with the survey data. Laura is in her second year of the Master of Public Health Program at UW-Madison. Public health has remained an underlying force in her education.  Her interest in population-level interventions started with her global health certificate in undergrad and led her to pursue a degree in human development and family studies at UW-Madison.  Through these experiences, she has cultivated a special interest in maternal and child health. Laura is also an intern for the Wisconsin Maternal Mortality Review Team.
