John Meurer, MD, MBA is Professor and Director of the Institute for Health & Equity at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He holds a medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas, attained a master of business degree from Northwestern University, and was a fellow with the David Winston Program, Washington DC. Dr. Meurer is a general pediatric clinician-educator and is academically recognized for his achievements in community-engaged research. His research interests include childhood asthma and obesity control, clinical quality improvement, and community-engaged research. He mentors and advises graduate students, medical students and residents. He repeatedly has received awards for Outstanding Medical Student Teacher and a Best Doctor in America. Dr. Meurer has served on numerous advisory boards and committees.  He currently serves on the executive committee of the Cancer Center and internal science advisory board of the Cardiovascular Center, co-chairs the Center Community Advisory Board, and is a Steering Committee Member with the Wisconsin Public Health Research Network.
