Translating Evidence to Practice in Public Health Intern (2019)
This is an exciting opportunity for me to learn more evidence based public health practices and implementation into community settings, which will better prepare me for my future career in public health. I look forward to gaining valuable hands-on experience with the WPHRN.
Neil Ortmann began his Translating Evidence to Practice in Public Health (TEP-PH) Internship with the Wisconsin Public Health Research Network (WPHRN) in July of 2019.
Neil is a second year Master of Public Health student at UW–Madison. His interests in public health are focused around the development of public health policies to improve the delivery of health services and the prioritization of health interventions based off of the health needs of the community. During Neil’s internship, he will be working with the local public health systems assessment team at the Department of Health Services on the roll out and analysis of a local public health systems survey. Neil is incredibly grateful that his work with WPHRN will allow him to share important resources and research to the practicing members of the community.
